Safety on the Lake

Temperatures are dropping in this great state of Michigan.  As most of the southeastern part of the state has been slammed with anywhere from 3-10 inches of snow, it has now been quickly followed by freezing temperatures. What does that mean to Waterfront Homeowners..... Ice games!  The lakes are freezing and there's all the excitement to get out on the ice.  Proceed with caution! Depending on the size of your lakefront, freezing may take longer.  Remember...4" (10 cm) - is suitable for ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and walking (approx. 200 pounds).  Anything less is considered as new ice should be treated with extreme caution. So stick to that New Years diet resolution, be safe and have plenty of fun!
